3.00pm: School finishes
For safety reasons children must not arrive at school in the mornings before 8.30am. Children cannot be supervised before then.

If your child is not going to be at school for any reason, please message us immediately or we will have to ring you. You can ring or text at any time and leave a message. Phone 03 982 0009, text the office or submit an absentee form through Skool Loop.

Wow! This week we had our St James Got Talent finals. Congratulations to everyone who attended our heats- we have a huge amount of talent within our kura and the competitors on the finals made the judges decision very hard!

What a wonderful Stella Maris Parish mass we celebrated on Sunday! We are so proud of all our ākonga. Thanks to all our priests and parish leaders and members for all your organisation. A joyful day together!

Hari te wiki o te reo Maori! Happy Maori Language Week!
Last week we celebrated te reo Maori particularly within classrooms and on Friday Rooms 3,4 and 5 joined other schools performing Kapa Haka. We were so proud of our ākonga - thanks for all the whānau who came and supported. If you couldn’t make it check out the photos and have a go - keep this beautiful language alive! Ngā mihi nui Matua Sonny and Matua Steve for teaching all the tamariki across our kura!

Last week we welcomed Justus Leaoseve last week for our Duffy Role Model assembly.

Justus spoke to us about reading has influenced him and helped him to succeed in his current career creating content and storytelling through video. He has worked with many teams and we’ll know names such as the Allblacks, Warriors, Uce gang and Jayden Laing.

What a positive role model and inspiration to us all!

Masayang pagdiriwang!!! We had a wonderful day today with the support from our Filipino community sharing food, dancing, praying and learning more about the Filipino culture. Thanks to all the families who helped organise and support us! You are a special and wonderful part of our community❤️💙

We were fortunate to welcome a Filipino Group from Catholic Cathedral College to our kura yesterday as part of Filipino Language Week.

They entertained us all with beautiful dancing, facts learnt about the history of the Philippines 🇵🇭, poetry, a quiz and games! We all loved it & it is inspiring for our Filipino students❤️

We ended our Crazy Hair themed Book Week with a Crazy Hair Day! Loads of colour, creativity and bling across the school. Ka pai to all our tamariki this week and special thanks to Christine, Ms Parry and Letitia for organising all our events 🩷❤️🧡💛💚🩵💙

What a fun filled Book Week we have had! We have been sharing books together and enjoying lots of Crazy Hair crafts, colouring and creating. Can you spot your tamariki in our picture frames?

A reminder tomorrow is Crazy Hair Day and everyone is welcome to come with crazy hair to school!

Book Week has begun with our theme, "Crazy Hair". Our tamariki were busy crafting in our lunchtime activities making faces with crazy hair! Kaiako visited different classes reading their favourite books as well as the "Crazy Hair Day" book!
