The Christchurch Contemporary Music Centre Welcome to the Christchurch Contemporary Music Centre We cater for all musical abilties, from beginners to those who are more advanced.

At the Christchurch Contemporary Music Centre we teach, inspire and support students to experience the happiness of music in new and innovative ways. The Chistchurch Contemporary Music Centre operates an all ages Christchurch music school, providing musical instruction for children, right through to adults, offering a variety of lesson formats to suit each individual. Even if you have never picked up an instrument before, or if you have let your musical endeavours fall by the way side, we can help re-kindle your passion for making music! We currently teach the following musical instruments:

* Guitar

* Piano

* Keyboard

* Vocals

* Mini musician-ship for children

We are based at Level 1 Barrington Shopping Centre, 256 Barrington Street open Monday - Saturday and we operate a satelite Saturday school at Redwood Primary School 51 Prestons Road Redwood 10 am until 3pm (during term time)


We offer the very best in music teaching to our students, to help them achieve their musical goals in a happy, musically-rich and supportive atmosphere.

Welcome back to term 3 everyone! We currently have a few spaces left for singing & instrumental tuition on Saturdays at Redwood Primary School (51 Prestons Road). We teach:

*Guitar
*Singing
*Piano
*Drums
*Group Piano

$23.50 per 20 minute individual lesson, $27 per 30 minute individual lesson or $19 per 45 minute group lesson.

Plus we have our dedicated rock & pop band program for children & teenagers (children's band for ages 7 and over, teenage band for ages 12 and over)

Hi Everyone!

The Chch Contemporary Music Centre are participating in the Chch city council children's day this Sunday offering free musical activities for kids. To do this we need a gazeebo ( a council requirement)... does anyone out there in FB land have one that I could borrow for the day? Just for this Sunday March the 1st.... happy to offer $$ or repay in any way we can :) Thanks!
