That’s a wrap! The end of an era.
Today, I saw my last client as Shelly from OneLife – Holistic Health Coaching, where I’ve had the privilege of helping you take control of your wellness.
To all my clients over the past 13 years – whether you’ve been with me for 2 months or 9 years – THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. We've shared laughs, tears, wins, and lessons. I could never have imagined the joy of witnessing so many of you grow and transform in such incredible ways.
Thank you for letting me be a part of your journey and for being part of mine. I’ve learned and grown so much – none of it would’ve been possible without you.
Keep being the amazing humans that you are! 😊

Mornings, Mondays, Spring. 🌷
They all represent one thing to me.
New beginnings.
So, now seems like as good a time as any to let you all know that there are going to be some changes around here.
Hubby and I are embarking on a new adventure as we move to Wanaka (after our overseas adventures) to open an O-Studio.
From the moment I heard of O-Studio, and what it is doing in the wellness space, I wanted to be a part of it. At O we are on a mission to make holistic wellness as understood, accepted and practiced as physical fitness. Can you think of anyone better suited? 👌
So, this in a farewell of sorts, as I'll no longer be posting here as "Shelly from Onelife". You can go to my personal page and follow me there.
Thanks so much for you support over the years, I'll still be here, just in other ways 🫶☺️

Goals.....Do you write yours down?
This scrappy piece of paper contains the goals I wrote down for myself way back in 2011. I found them a few years ago when we were moving house and was blown away at just how much of this vision for my life I'd created.
Research supports this, but seeing it first hand was something else.
The beginning of a new season, a new week, a new day.......what better time to review the goals you've set yourself and see how you're tracking. And.......if you haven't see any, what better time to start????

It’s taken 2.5 years 🤩
I’m a little apprehensive as I post this.
I began running again 6 weeks ago, which is the first time since having Covid that I’ve been able to run without crashing after 2 weeks. Fatigue, sore throat and ears, digestive upset would be the norm.
Today I ran around 8km, and it felt great 👍 🏃♂️👌👊
Patience, embracing “where I am now” rather than “trying to get back to where I was before”, a great diet, a few supplements, and attention to recovery were a part of the process, but 4 months ago I added something new- sauna and ice baths.
Thanks O-Studio Rolleston. I truly believe this has made the difference between 80%recovered, and 100%.
If you haven’t already-you should go check them out 👌
*note- this photo was the last run I did before getting sick- not quite that sp*ed, but the same pretty route.

Thanks Streamside Organics for dropping of the freshest veggies 🌽 I’ve seen all week!
SO easy, and convenient, and makes me (and the kids) wanna eat them all up 🤪

Can’t wait 😛
Who’s with me?

Indeed….
How could we improve our relationships and reduce stress if we all did this??
18/03/2024
20,000-26,000.
That's approximately how many times we breathe each day 😲
Given that your deep abdominals (transverse abdominals) assists with each breath, that 20,000- 26,000 reps you are doing to either train them correctly or incorrectly each day!
Is there any other muscle to do that many reps with in the gym?
It pays to make sure you do this well, as it also affects every other move you perform.
Most PT's and many therapists don't look at this.
CHEK professionals do.
I do!
The world most of us live in today is not conducive to healthy breathing patterns, so it's something most of us can do with practicing.
A few quick tips:
✅Breath ought to be low (between the body of your ribs and your belly button), slow, thru your nose, and quiet.
✅Practice at regular intervals:
*Set a timer to go every 30 minutes and pause to check in
*attach it something else you do frequently- check your phone, p*e, drink, eat, see a red car (for example).
And, if want too know more about how I can help- reach out 🙂
