Learn more about the journeys of those who experience homelessness at our exhibition “7 Doors to Ending Homelessness” in Cathedral Square on the 10th of October.

Hi Floydians, just wanted to let everyone know that all our staff and hopefully all of our clients are safe and well. Our building has been red stickered after the recent quake. We are looking at making La Famia (floyds) mobile, if anyone knows of a church, hall, space where we may be able to run half day workshops can you let us know.

Floyds was recently lucky enough to be sponsored a stall at the Coca Cola careers expo, it was great to see heaps of young people there and we hope to see some new faces here at Floyds in the coming weeks.

HELP SAVE FLOYDS!!!!!!!!!!
Every week Floyds caters for approximatly 250 people from the community, the majority of whom suffer from mental illness and/or disabilities.
Our services include tutoring in leatherwork, sewing, painting, woodwork, ceramics and harakeke mahi (flax weaving).
Floyds is a place where people can learn new skills, develop artistic interests or just relax all while enjoying social contact in a safe and supportive enviroment.
Due to lack of financial support Floyds future is at risk. The goverment has given us an ultimatum that if we can't raise $120,0000 before the end of November they will close us down.
This will have a huge impact on the community as it will leave all of these people nowhere to go and nothing to do on a daily basis. Where are these people going to go? what quality of life will they have with nothing to do during the day?
