Welcome to the official page for Canterbury Aero Club! The Canterbury Aero Club provides flight training from the first introductory flight, through to solo and on to your private, or commercial pilots licence, including multi engine and instructor ratings. The choice is yours. Whether your aim is recreational or a professional career path, we will train you to the highest standard with safety always paramount. If your goal is a professional career in aviation, you will train with our wholly owned subsidiary company, the International Aviation Academy of New Zealand Ltd. Academy members are also full pilot members of the Club and enjoy full member activities and privileges. Our Club is based at Christchurch International Airport and is New Zealand's largest Aero Club, with active bases at West Melton Aerodrome and Rangiora Airfield. The facilities we provide are world class with a diverse membership and a very safe and well maintained fleet of aircraft, serviced regularly by our own aircraft engineers!
