The Silversmiths Guild of Canterbury

The Silversmiths Guild of Canterbury We survived the Christchurch Quakes (with a lot of hard work from some wonderful members) and are now enjoying new life in our new home at The Tannery.

The Silversmiths Guild was formed in the early 1980s by a group of enthusiastic people who had the common interest of working with both precious and semi-precious metals.

Where opposites ignite entry by Maree Grant - One of my latest pairs of earrings was inspired by the beautiful colourful pebbles on the beach at Anakiwa. From the cold beach stones to the free form of molten silver with sparkling gems, bringing opposite elements of hot and cold together and really suited this theme.
