Hi all a reminder that Year 1-6 Swimming lessons start on Monday (first day of Term 3).
When students arrive at school next term they will need to have their named swimming gear in a seperate bag with them. Please ensure this (and their uniform) is well named (including socks and shoes). If Year 1 – 6 students would find it easier they may wear their PE uniform for the first 2 weeks of term as this is often easier for getting changed at the pool.
Each child will need a waterproof bag to store their swimming togs, towel, and comb. We recommend students wearing googles and some may prefer to use a cap as well. Many parents find the zip up supermarket bags are idea for carrying wet swimming gear.

Was a great afternoon of football for the Emmanuel World Cup yesterday. Seeing large numbers of our Year 3-10 students together was a highlight. Thank you to Nomads United AFC for your support with providing goals and other equipment for us to use for the afternoon. For reference France came out on top in a close final against NZ.

We are excited to invite our Emmanuel Christian School parents to a special combined Christian schools’ parent event being hosted here in Christchurch on Wednesday, 3 June.
The Focus of the Evening:
“Answering Tough Questions in the Home”
As parents, many of us are navigating important conversations with our children around faith, culture, identity, truth, and the challenges of the world around us. This promises to be a thoughtful, practical, and encouraging evening.

News from Camp: Our Seniors had an absolute BLAST at their camp this week. Our Year 10 students have been putting their teamwork, resilience, and problem-solving skills into practice during their camping experience. From setting up tents to cooking outdoors and supporting one another, they’re growing in confidence and character. What a fantastic opportunity for learning beyond the classroom!
