The Focus of the Evening:
“Answering Tough Questions in the Home”
As parents, many of us are navigating important conversations with our children around faith, culture, identity, truth, and the challenges of the world around us. This promises to be a thoughtful, practical, and encouraging evening.

News from Camp: Our Seniors had an absolute BLAST at their camp this week. Our Year 10 students have been putting their teamwork, resilience, and problem-solving skills into practice during their camping experience. From setting up tents to cooking outdoors and supporting one another, they’re growing in confidence and character. What a fantastic opportunity for learning beyond the classroom!

It’s wonderful to have our students, staff, and families together again as we head into the final part of the school year. A time full of learning, celebration, and reflection on God’s goodness and faithfulness.
As we begin this term, it’s fitting to pause and give thanks for a significant milestone in the story of Christian education in Aotearoa New Zealand. On 10 October 1975, fifty years ago today, Parliament passed the Private Schools Conditional Integration Act (PSCIA). This was a bold and visionary piece of legislation that made it possible for schools like Emmanuel Christian School to become part of the state education system, while retaining their special Christian character. This set the framework for Emmanuel Christian School becoming a State Integrated School in July 1996.
We give thanks for the leadership and service fof the many people who worked tirelessly to make this partnership between church and state a reality. Today, more than 69,000 students in 335 state-integrated schools benefit from this unique arrangement. An enduring testament to faith, courage, and collaboration.
