We’re heading to New York, Los Angeles and Seattle this October for three alumni events. Come along to catch up with friends and fellow graduates in your city and hear the latest from UC.

For our first event, we’ll be at Jutta Gallery in New York for 'New Work to New York from New Zealand', an exhibition bringing together UC Fine Arts students and alumni in a series of artistic duets.

Prominent Malaysian business and finance leader Tan Sri Datuk Oh Siew Nam P.S.M., P.J.N., whose UC journey began with a Colombo Plan scholarship, received an honorary doctorate at the University's Spring Engineering graduation celebration on Tuesday 25 August.

The honorary doctorate recognises Tan Sri Oh's outstanding contribution to business, finance, public service and philanthropy, as well as his enduring connection to UC and support for Malaysian students.

Professor Michael Plank has been in the news last week as one of NZ’s leading experts in infectious disease modelling, speaking to Newstalk ZB and RNZ about the current flu outbreak, what might happen next, and what lessons from Covid-19 could help inform the response.
