📊 In May, our Connectors supported 62 people through assessments and connections to services. The most common issue people came to us with was finances and budgeting.

This reflects what we're seeing across our community: that too many households are feeling the pressure of rising living costs. Increasing expenses for essentials such as food, power, and transport can make it difficult to make ends meet, even for people who have previously managed well.

If you're finding things tough, you're not alone. Our team can help you explore available supports, identify practical options, and connect you with services that may be able to help.

Reuben Davidson MP for Christchurch East, will be at The Loft on Monday 22 June between 10am - 11am for a constituent clinic. Drop in to chat to your local MP about issues that your community is facing.

His team will also bring information on voter enrolment for this year's national election.

After a year with us, SuperGrans SuperSkills Ōtautahi are officially flying the coop.

They returned to Christchurch after some time away and chose The Loft as their home. Over the past twelve months, we’ve provided the space, stability, and support they needed to get back on their feet.

Now, they’re spreading their wings once more and heading into their next chapter. We wish them well as they move on.

The Loft is growing, and we’ve created a brand‑new Relationships Coordinator role to strengthen the connections that make our mahi possible.
