Sweet Dreams Slices, a Year 13 Commerce Enterprise group, achieved incredible success at the New Brighton Market this past Saturday🎊
Selling their delicious custom rice bubble slices!
This venture was driven by giving back to the community.
By choosing to support a meaningful cause rather than just focusing on profit, the students raised awareness for the Pajama Project and are proudly donating five brand-new pairs of pajamas to children in need 🩷

AGHS is turning 100 in 2028 🎉
Yesterday we launched our celebrations with a special assembly honouring a century of stories, people, and school pride.
Mrs Franklin shared the rich history of our kura, three former principals reflected on their time leading AGHS, and our students took us on a “walk through time” with a fashion parade showcasing past uniforms. Our kapa haka rōpū also launched a new school waiata.
As Mrs McRandle reminded us, even though we no longer stand in the original buildings, our history remains unbroken. The earthquakes reshaped our city, but not our spirit or our connection to the generations who came before us. Our story lives in our people, our values, and the friendships that endure across every era.
Spread the word... tell your friends, sisters, aunties, grandparents!
Registrations for our 2028 Centenary Event will be open very soon – keep an eye on our Facebook and website.
