This year I'd like to get more creative.
Looking forward to meeting more women on the Healthy Habits course who might have a similar goal. Together we can find ways to integrate the habit of creating into our lives.

Ah, finally the first tomatoes are ripe!
I have been making an effort to have as varied a diet as possible. So I have been counting how many different plants I eat each week.
Have you ever tried that? It actually takes a bit of thought.

Quite frankly, I am always quite grateful for a rainy day.
Motivates me to get the things done that I don't get around to on a sunny day.
Currently I am sitting over the concept for the next Healthy Habits course. Might just change things around a bit....

At the beginning of the month my family and I have stayed with friends in the Marlborough Sounds. They live at the bottom of a BIG hill and each year I take on the challenge to cycle up that hill. This year the bigger challenge I encountered was getting out of bed first and putting some suitable clothes on. I laid there for ages when suddenly I remembered this saying: "Nobody has ever regretted having exercised." And suddenly I managed to overcome that terrible procrastination that so often stops me. I guess you can see in this photo how pleased I was with myself.
The reality is, I love cycling. So doing it is not the hard part. Getting started often is though, isn't it?
In the Healthy Habits course we come up with strategies to tackle procrastination.
I hope you are finding ways to enjoy being active.

Two more weeks to go until this year's Healthy Habits course starts and I am starting to get excited!
I ran this course for the first time a year ago and it turned into exactly what I had hoped it would be. A bunch of cool women from varied backgrounds came together with open minds and open hearts and created a supportive sisterhood. Together we looked at how we could set goals that fitted our values and how we could establish little habits for a healthier and more fulfilling life. We laughed together and shed a few tears together. In the end someone suggested to have a clothes-swap and now I not only have more cool friends but also more cool clothes. We really had the nicest time together and are still in touch. Seeing the positive impact it has had on the women and seeing the friendships they have built is just the best.
There are still a few more spaces available. Drop me a line if you'd like a little more info. I am also happy to have a chat.

I'd like you to meet Max.
Max makes sure I get many of my needs met.
He takes me for a walk every day even when it's raining.
He licks my feet when it's time to get up and my face when I am crying.
He is the reason random strangers smile at me.
When I tuck him in at night my need for nurturing is being met.
In the Healthy Habits course you'll get a chance to look closely at how you can get your needs for a full-filling life met. You can't have Max though.

Not long to go now. A bunch of women have already signed up!

Hurray, we have all made it through another year!
For 2025 I wish you health and happiness with warm connections and great insights.
I am extremely curious whether you have got any exciting plans for this year.
Anything you are working towards?
Any new habits you would like to acquire? Or maybe there are some you would like to let go of?
I would like to get into creating some abstract art this year.
And I would also like to run a half-marathon in April.
Something I would really like to let go of is spending too much time with my darn phone.
Announcing these plans here really puts the pressure on (and feels rather scary) and I am hoping that you will hold me to account.

I used to be a keen hobby photographer and attend all kinds of courses and workshops but somehow my photography was really only improving marginally. Things changed though the day I decided to commit to shooting a film a week (remember the days of film?). I set myself little assignments and tried to do the best job I could while at the same time accepting that most likely the majority of the photos would be mediocre. It actually didn't take that long until I could see improvements. All that hard work led to me running my own successful portrait and wedding photography business.
I still look back at that useful lesson: It's a matter of sticking with it while not getting discouraged by the odd failure.
That's really also what the Healthy Habits course is about: you find something you want to achieve and figure out a pathway. Then the rest of us will cheer you on along the way. We'll keep you on track and make sure that the goals you set yourself are actually achievable.
Join an awesome sisterhood of women for this next adventure!

I have recently spent two nights in this hut to get away from the Christmas hustle and bustle. When I go tramping my relationship with food changes completely. I only take as much as I need and focus on healthy nutrition. While I am walking I make sure I eat a little bit roughly every 1.5 hrs. So I very much look at food as my fuel and stop eating when I am not hungry anymore. In the Healthy Habits course we not only talk about what food that nurtures your body but also about mindful eating habits.
Five weeks to go until the next course starts at The Bridge South Brighton. Get in touch for more info!

Here is one of the quotes that pop up in my awesome "Goal Digger Planner", a diary I give to myself every Christmas. For 2025 I have gotten myself a daily planner as opposed to a weekly one. I am a great believer in having written goals. Only in recent years have I understood that I have often struggled to reach my goals as I focused on steps that were simply too big. In the last Healthy Habits course I taught the women to focus on ridiculously small changes which will over time compound.
One woman though didn't quite heed my advice and decided to train for a 2km ocean swim. And she simply went ahead and did it!!! It was such a cool achievement for us all to celebrate together. Thanks for inspiring us, Emma.
