“The beauty of the world lies in the diversity of its people.”

Cultural Day 2023 was a huge success with beautiful performances to celebrate the many cultures of Merrin School - Ngā Whetū Kohara. Thank you to all our whānau who came out to support. We are so lucky to have such a wonderfully diverse community. 🌎🌏🌍

Ngā Whetū Kohara - Merrin School Cultural Day 2023

We encourage students and their whānau to come to school dressed in clothes that show their culture – it may be traditional clothes, clothes that are the colours of their flag, or something to show where their family comes from.

We are celebrating our Cultural Day at school on Friday the 15th of September and would like to invite Whanaū to take part in celebrating with us.

At Ngā Whetū Kohara, Merrin School - Whanaungatanga is the heart of everything we do. We are so fortunate to have such a diverse community within our school and want to celebrate that with you all. Please join us for our Merrin School Cultural day.

The children in our school identify with around 20 different cultures, our Cultural Day is a chance to celebrate this diversity within our school and community.
