Arts Canterbury is pleased to announce we are taking submissions for young artists to exhibit ONE artwork each at the Arts Canterbury Art Show at The Cashmere Club on the 14th - 16th of August 2026.

This opportunity is open to any youth aged 10 -18years. Young artists do not need to be members of Arts Canterbury to submit their work for this exhibition.

Shimmering with subtle beauty, the Common Bronzewing is one of Australia’s most widespread pigeons.
Its wings flash with iridescent bronze, green, and purple when the sunlight catches — a hidden rainbow on an otherwise modest bird.

They are quiet, ground-feeding foragers, often seen near water, and their soft, mournful calls echo through the bush.
