🌺 Le Malaga Tāua | A Sacred Journey 🌺

Term 3 is here and we are back !

Our after-school classes resume Week 2 and we'd love to welcome both returning and new students.

When :
Every Tuesday , Wednesday and Thursday

Time :
3pm - 4:30pm

We are now moving into the exciting stage of learning our Sāmoan songs (Pese) and Siva Sāmoa as we prepare for our upcoming showcase.

Who can join ? Students from :

- Haeata Community Campus
- Whitau School
- St JAmes School
- Chisnallwood Intermediate
- Shirley Boys' High School
- Avonside Girls' High School

If you are interested in being part of this special journey of learning Gagana Sāmoa , Fa'asinomaga (Identity), Fa'aaloalo (Respect) , Tautua (Service) and Aganu'u Sāmoa (Culture) , please get in touch with us ASAP.

A friendly reminder to please encourage any students who are interested in participating in Le Malaga Tāua Showcase to sign up this week.

This is the final week for registrations. There will be no new sign-ups next term , as we will begin to allocate students to their roles and polish up dances learnt this term while learning new ones next term.

If you know of any students who have been talking about joining or would benefit from this opportunity , please let me know.
Le Malaga Tāua is a wonderful opportunity for students to :

- Learn and celebrate Samoan language and culture.
- Build confidence through song , dance and performance.
- Develop values of Fa'aaloalo (Respect) , Tautua (service) and Fa'asinomaga (Identity).
- Be part of an exciting cultural showcase.

We warmly invite you to join us for our Haeata Celebration of Learning and spend an evening exploring our kura and celebrating the incredible learning of our ākonga.

Come along and walk through our learning spaces, meet your child's kaiako, have a kōrero and see firsthand what your tamariki have been learning. Whether you'd like to chat with teachers, explore the classrooms or simply enjoy walking around the kura enjoying your child's learning journey, we'd love to see you there.

Talofa Family,

Thank you all for your understanding with the recent changes to finishing times and occasional cancellations. My heart is fully with our showcase, and whenever changes need to happen, I always try my best to let you know as soon as possible.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, today’s lessons and tomorrow’s lessons is cancelled. We’re praying next week and the weeks ahead will be back on track, or we may look at changing our days if needed.

For now, we’ll take each week as it comes. Thank you again for your patience and support. 🤍
