For the past three years, Crusaders Global Academy has partnered with the United States Naval Academy Women’s Rugby program to build something bigger than a training camp.

Together, we’ve focused on developing elite student-athletes, strong leadership, and a high-performance culture that matches the standards required at the Naval Academy.

Led by Head Coach Murph McCarthy, the Navy Women’s Rugby program continues to raise the bar in NIRA varsity competition, balancing the demands of military training, academics, and high-level sport.

Through the CGA Growth Program, this partnership has included:

• Three consecutive years of on-site player development camps
• High-intensity skill and tactical training sessions
• Integration of CGA coaching methodology into the program
• Leadership development through coaching education

In 2023, Coach McCarthy deepened that connection by completing a Crusaders Global Academy coaching course, strengthening the alignment between both programs and reinforcing the same development principles within the team year-round.

In November 2025, Crusaders Global Academy brought elite coaching to Chiang Mai, Thailand—uniting players and coaches from schools, universities, national programs, and clubs for an intensive three-day clinic focused on skill, clarity, and intentional play.

Led by Director Grant Keenan and hosted at Payap University with Sport Frontier Global, the clinic delivered international coaching standards directly to northern Thailand—sharpening fundamentals, raising rugby IQ, and equipping local coaches with practical frameworks they can carry forward.

More than a clinic, this was about building pathways, strengthening connections, and laying the foundation for long-term growth across the Thai rugby community.
