Our drum teacher, Max, has turned drum lessons into a game, and students love it!
Le Jon School of Music
A music school in Christchurch with professional and friendly teachers who provide quality music lessons.
Learning the violin can be quite challenging for young children. Building a solid foundation takes time, and consistent encouragement is important to help them stay motivated.
Kien is very patient with children. He creates an environment where students are not afraid to make mistakes, are willing to try, and are encouraged to practise and improve steadily.
Morgan has over 20 years of guitar playing experience and has performed with the Hahley College Jazz Band. He was awarded Best Guitarist at the Southern JamJazz Festival.
Morgan explains musical concepts clearly and is patient in his teaching. He plays acoustic guitar, electric guitar, and bass, and is proficient in blues, rock, jazz, and acoustic styles. He covers a wide range of fundamental techniques, including chords, rhythm, strumming, scales, modes, and proper hand positioning.
He has a friendly and approachable personality, and uses step-by-step goals along with practical exercises to help students make steady progress.
From day one to the big stage in just two years, our student rocked the Christchurch Chinese New Year festival and stole the show!

Our students get discounts through our new partnership with Hoekstra Pianos!š¤©
Invited to Hoekstra Pianos, the biggest piano store in the South Island. Wytze, the super-friendly owner who truly lives and breathes pianos, shared lots of interesting piano knowledge with me.
I played every grand piano in the store, and Im obsessed with the Feurich pianos, warm, beautiful tone and the touch is just perfect.
If you are thinking of buying or renting a piano, this is the place to go!š

All of our piano exam students have finished their exams this year. Seven out of eight received Distinction, and one received Meritš
Of course, exam results donāt, and shouldnāt fully represent a student. Iāve seen plenty of students who memorise a few exam pieces and score well, but struggle completely with new pieces, donāt know how to interpret a piece, have poor hand posture, or end up finding piano lessons stressful.
I believe that developing interest and building a solid foundation are far more important. Once these two things are in place, everything else falls into place naturally. It might look slower at the beginning, but thatās when a student is truly learning to play the pianoš
