This week we celebrate the power of global education and the life-changing journeys it creates! On Study Abroad Day 2026, AUIP proudly recognizes the students, partners, and institutions who make international learning possible!
Studying abroad is more than earning credits it’s about building friendships across borders, discovering new cultures, gaining global perspectives, and preparing for a world without limits.
At AUIP, we remain committed to expanding opportunities, strengthening partnerships, and empowering students to explore, grow, and lead globally.
Here’s to new destinations, bold dreams, and a future connected through education. 💙✈️

This week has been International Education Week. (18-21 Nov 2025). To celebrate, we will be sharing some transformative experiences for our past students!
Kolla Buchanan: "Travelling to Australia and New Zealand with the Virginia Tech and AUIP program changed my life. I learned so much about the world, felt and became inspired to make positive impacts on the world through conservation work, and grew so much personally. Within this time, I feel as though I came out a better version of myself and more enthusiastic about the possibilities the world has to offer".

From Wendy Preston, AUIP Program Coordinator's recent famil trip to Fiji
"Lucky me, this has been my office for last 8 days. Met some wonderful people and visited spectacular locations. Honoured to have been so warmly welcomed everywhere we've been. Fiji is a superb setting for study abroad, an immersive global classroom for experimental learning across multiple disciplines - environment, sustainability, science, culture, communities, education, health and much more.
If you're looking for a Fiji holiday with a difference I can highly recommend Barefoot Manta in the Yasawas. Unique in Fiji, there's a Marine Conservation Centre and a dedicated team of marine biologists. Their hard work over the years to preserve the coral reef in cooperation with the local community on Naviti Island has resulted in truly outstanding healthy coral reefs.

“Remote environments are tough... even when you're built for them.”
As our AUIP Antarctic Lecture Series continues, we’re excited to welcome Dr. Kimberley Norris, an expert in psychology and resilience in extreme settings.
This week’s talk explores a powerful topic:
🧠 "From Antarctica to Outer Space: Psychology in Remote Environments"
What does it take to stay mentally well in the most isolated places on Earth — and beyond?
🚢 Our first Antarctic voyage launches early December and we can't wait-but until then, we'll see you online!
