Huge thanks to Dogsafe for coming in today! The children really loved meeting Fergus (a Logotto) and we learnt so much from Chris and Kym.
Did you know there are around 42,000 dogs in Christchurch? That's a lot of dog-poop in public if we aren't being responsible! And, if a dog is on its own, leave it alone.
We are grateful to the council for offering these important sessions for NZ children.

đď¸ Our St. Peterâs community celebrates our children who received their First Holy Communion this past Sunday. We are immensely proud of the reverence and grace they showed as they received the Holy Eucharist for the very first time. đď¸
Heavenly Father, Thank you for blessing our children with the Holy Eucharist. Just as our patron, St. Peter, was a rock of faith, may this Communion strengthen them to be rocks of love and truth in our school. Guide them always by Your grace. Amen.

Super duper amazing runs by these two fantastic students over the weekend- Leo raced up for 3.5 painful kms and then zoomed down for his final 6.5km! A great bunch of staff and students in a delightful location. Letâs keep growing this and supporting a great (nearly local!) event.

We often receive pre-enrolments from "friends of friends" who have heard great things about St Peter's School.
If you know families interested in a Catholic education for their children but who might need a hand with the process, please direct them to our website homepage. They can simply click the button below the enrolment sign and then we will be in touch to support the steps. You can also find this link in the comments below.
Key Date: The deadline for ballot applications is midday, 4 September (for 2027 enrolments).
We donât want anyone to miss the ballot if they are keen to join our St Peter's community!

There really isn't a better way to start the term than to have HAROLD join us! Harold, you are so cheeky!
Thank you so much to Jo, our facilitator, for such insighful and caring teaching. We value what you brought to our school and can't wait to see you again in two years.

Easter blessings to our St Peter's Te Kura Haoika whÄnau as we head into this precious season.
As Pope Leo XIV reminds us, "Easter should be the holiest, most sacred time of the year. It is a time of peace, a time for much reflection, but as we all know, once again in the world, in so many places, we are seeing so much suffering, so many deaths, even innocent children". Pope Leo calls everyone, and especially Christians, to âlive these days recognising that Christ is still crucified today, that Christ still suffers today in the innocent, especially those who are suffering from violence, hatred, and war.â
Thank you to all those who participated in / attended our Holy Week Walks, and our Stations of the Cross.

Extreme pride in Liam for his amazing performance at the Year 8 Canterbury Swimming Finals last week! Liam came 9th in the 50m backstroke and a fantastic 6th place in the 100m backstroke. Liam, your sports badge is well earned and we look forward to presenting it at assembly early next term.
