Mabuhay ang Pilipinas!
Philippines Independence Day is a very significant day celebrated every 12th of June in the Philippines. It commemorates the country’s declaration of freedom after 300 years of Spanish colonial rule. Today we celebrated at Te Kāpehu Riccarton School with our Filipino families! It was great to see such amazing attire, beautiful singing, and wonderful dances from our Filipino learners!
Maraming salamat po sa lahat ng nakiisa at naging bahagi ng pagdiriwang na ito! 🇵🇭

As we draw to the end of Samoan Language Week, we reflect on how incredibly grateful we are for the richness, knowledge, and sense of community that our tamaiti and their aiga bring to our a'oga. As a staff, we celebrate the fa'asāmoa traditions, values, and the strength that comes from learning with and from one another. 🇼🇸❤️
Manuia lava le vaiaso o le gagana Samoa!

A huge thank you to Rebel Sport Riccarton for selecting Te Kāpehu Riccarton School to receive a generous donation of 80 brand-new sports balls, including footballs, basketballs, and rugby balls.
We are incredibly grateful for this support. These resources will provide our learners with more opportunities to be active, develop their skills, participate in team sports, and enjoy quality play during break times and physical education lessons.
Thank you, Rebel Sport Riccarton, for investing in our tamariki and helping them to thrive through sport and physical activity.
Ngā mihi nui from everyone at Te Kāpehu Riccarton School!
