Our Philosophy

We Aim to Develop the "Mind-Body, Mind-Brain" Connections:

The provision of the Gym / Numeracy & Literacy / Extension Group programmes provide an active-learning early childhood environment with special emphasis on balancing the body and the brain. Kinesthetics is vital, particularly to preschoolers, for their developmental learning processes. The FUNdamentals programme allows teachers to extend their expectations of our preschooler's ability to understand and learn. It is a high expectations programme providing fulfilment as children learn how to learn. Total Mind & Body Learning:

The gym, classroom and computer times are balanced with free-choice times. We offer sand, woodwork, water play, art, drama and teacher-guided activities based on science, maths and literacy. We offer a Numeracy & Literacy programme for 3 year olds, that includes phonological based reading extension and games. We also incorporate a range of activities from puzzles, shape exploration, small manipulative tasks like threading, to gross motor gym room activities, stories, creative art and music. Our Exciting Perceptual Motor Gym Programme Offers:

Our gym programme's aim is to use movement as a teaching tool to create awareness as well as confidence in the children's physical ability. We try to transfer this confidence in ability to other learning areas. In this programme, we introduce routines to music and we practice forward rolls, crawls, climbing, spinning, balancing, hanging from bars, and swinging. These activities work on memory, gross and fine motor skills, body awareness, balance and sensory motor development. The integrated nature of this programme will encourage noticeable language development, as we are constantly using words to explain what we are doing and why.

💙 What a way to celebrate our special people! 💙

We had the BEST time celebrating all the dads, grandads, brothers, uncles, stepdads and the incredible people who show up, support and help our tamariki flourish each day. 🫶

Thank you to everyone who came along to our Father’s Day celebration and joined us for a boogie - what a turnout! 🕺🎶
