Play with plaster and learn how to make your own moulds in Term 4's Plaster Mould Making 101 workshop.

This workshop is designed for learners who have some experience working with clay and will bring their ideas of the shapes they would like to make. You can sculpt your own model to make your mould, or have the option to bring readymade objects to make a plaster of Paris mould form.

The Garden City Mākete

Free creative workshops are underway at The Garden City Mākete!

Take a moment for yourself amongst the Mākete and have a go at something creative! Swipe through to see the schedule and drop in to see us.

We're all set for the The Garden City Mākete Midwinter Christmas! ✨️

Get out from the rain and cold and pop in to do a bit of shopping, try a free workshop and have a chat with us amongst the festivities!

Workshops are kicking off at 10.30am with Zentangle bookmark making with Ildica Boyd. Look out for the signs at the side of the arena and pop in to have a go.

We are here 10-6pm.
Wolfbrook arena

A unique art form that combines care, patience, and a deep appreciation for beauty and harmony, bonsai is the art of cultivating miniature trees that become living sculptures.

Learn all about the art form with a live bonsai demonstration from expert practitioner Dirk Goetze. During the session, Dirk will show you the tools, techniques, and aesthetic considerations that go into cultivating happy, healthy, and beautiful bonsai.

He will also bring along some of his own award-winning bonsai so you can see the true variety offered by this wonderful artform.

Dirk's bonsai demonstration runs 3-4pm in the workshop space at the Garden City Mākete.
