Mihi Whakatau

Welcome to New Whānau and tamariki,

When: Friday 23rd of October, 10am.

Details: Our whole School will be formally welcoming our new learners and their whānau joining the Ilam School Team in Term 4, 2026. At the Mihi Whakatau any new tamariki and their whānau who have joined us since Friday 31st of July until Friday 23rd of October will be welcomed. Our new families will meet in the whare pukapuka (library) at 9.45am.

All current Ilam whānau are also welcome to join us in welcoming our new families.

Following the Mihi Whakatau around 10.30am we invite you to stay and enjoy some refreshments in the hall.

🌼 Brightening Up for a Cause! 🌼

Today, Ilam School turned into a sea of yellow for Daffodil Day! 💛

Our tamariki and staff dressed up in their brightest yellow gear to show support for the Cancer Society of New Zealand. Every year, Daffodil Day symbolizes hope for the 1 in 3 New Zealanders affected by cancer.

A massive thank you to all our families who sent in donations today. Your generosity helps fund vital cancer research, support services, and prevention programs right here in our community.

Ngā mihi nui for helping us spread a little extra hope and sunshine! ☀️🌼
