🚸 Safety Around Our School: Protecting Our Tamariki 🚸

Kia ora Ilam School Community,

We need your help! The safety of our tamariki is our absolute number one priority, especially during those busy drop-off and pick-up times.

Please help us keep everyone safe by:

🚗 Driving carefully and slowly on the streets surrounding our school.

🚶‍♂️ Always using the designated crossings when walking with your children.

🛑 Following parking signs and avoiding yellow lines so our tamariki remain visible to drivers.

It only takes a moment of distraction or haste for an accident to happen. Let's work together as a community to make sure every child gets to and from school safely each day.

Just after the morning bell today, our fire alarm was triggered. In line with our safety protocols, the entire school evacuated quickly and safely to the field.

Fire and Emergency crews arrived promptly, inspected the property, and gave us the official all-clear. All students have now returned to class and are settled into their day.

A huge thank you to our students and staff for handling the evacuation so calmly and efficiently!

What an incredible night at the Ilam School Disco!

Thanks to the support of our amazing school community, we raised $1,332.36 at the disco to go towards the school's future learning resources and student experiences.

A huge thank you to Butterfield Bathrooms for generously sponsoring free entry for all Ilam tamariki and helping make the event possible.

We'd also like to thank all of our wonderful PTA volunteers who helped with planning, set up, food sales, face painting, glow bling, supervision and pack down. Events like this simply couldn't happen without the support of our parent community.

Thank you to everyone who attended, danced, dressed up, purchased disco dollars and helped create such a fun night for our tamariki. 💃🕺🌟

The Ilam PTA Disco is finally here! Join us in the school hall for a night of dancing, glow bling, face painting, music, prizes and plenty of fun with your friends.

🎟️ FREE ENTRY thanks to Butterfield Bathrooms.

Bring some cash for food and glow bling, or purchase Disco Dollars at the entrance via EFTPOS. Disco Dollars are $1 each and can be used for all purchases inside the disco. We can't exchange Disco Dollars back at the end of the night so just buy what you plan on spending.

Food available includes popcorn, crisps, lemonade ice blocks, mega jelly snakes and cheese pizza slices.

Our amazing House Captains organised some fantastic lunchtime activities for our students today. We couldn't have asked for a better way to break up the day. What a gorgeous winter's day to get outside and active! 😎

16 June - PTA meeting in the staffroom from 7:00 pm.
17 June - Whole School Assembly, all welcome!

Butterfield Bathrooms has kindly covered the $3 entry fee for every child attending, meaning more money in your pocket for glow bling, pizza, popcorn, ice blocks and all the disco fun on the night. ✨🌟🍕
