This workshop will cover all we need to know to quickly and effectively write great speeches for all occasions - work and social presentations, debates, sports and special events.
This participatory and interactive workshop will be useful to attendees at all levels of public speaking skills.
Come along, have some fun, sharpen up existing skills and learn new ones, meet interesting people and catch up with some old friends.

WE'RE BACK! Thrust into 2023 at the first meeting of the year of CHRISTCHURCH SPEAKERS on Tuesday, 7th February 2023. It has been seven weeks since our last meeting and we all can't wait to be back speaking in front of a living, breathing, heart-beating, sweating, fidgeting, spirited audience again! Grab one of the roles below and be part of the fun;

*Present an icebreaker question for the entire audience
*Run an impromptu speaking session
*A reading - up to 5mins
*A speech - up to 7 minutes
*Tell us about something you did over the festive/holiday period - up to 5mins
*Educational - 20mins. I have a subject in mind. Let me know if you fancy a challenge!

CHRISTCHURCH SPEAKERS provides a stage to gain confidence and competence before a live audience and have fun all at the same time.

Membership for the year is $40 (11 meetings) or $5 per meeting to cover room hire and light refreshments.

Join us at CHRISTCHURCH SPEAKERS for the last meeting of the year on Tuesday, 6th December 2022. We already have a full meeting featuring speeches, icebreaker and impromptu speaking. To round the evening off, there is a quiz to test our listening skills!
We all have at least two chances to practice our public speaking skills in front of a live audience on the night.
