Our third round of schools from the Tasman/North Canterbury region have been found⚡️

Congratulations to Geraldine High School, Victory Primary School, Sacred Heart School and Hokitika Primary School - recipients of the third funding round for Chemist Warehouse NZ Official Hoops in Schools.

We’ve seen an incredible wave of interest, all showing a genuine passion for basketball. It’s awesome to see the game continuing to grow across the motu 🖤

The Life Education caravan has arrived! From tomorrow, all of our students are visiting Harold to learn about staying safe in various environments. The sessions focus on practical skills for staying safe at home, out in public, and crucially, while navigating the internet and being safe online. It’s a great opportunity for our kids to learn how to make smart choices in a fun, relaxed setting.

A massive shout out to all our school mums this Mother’s Day! Whether it’s breakfast in bed or a quiet coffee, we hope you’re taking a well deserved break.

As we move through May, the month of Mary, we’re reminded of her strength and devotion as a mother, qualities we see in our own community every single day.

Congratulations to our amazing students who won awards last week.

Our wonderful Young Vinnies group celebrated this years commissioning Mass at the Pro-Cathedral last night. They were joined by all the other Young Vinnies from across Christchurch. Thank you to Mrs Thomson and Mrs Debenham for supporting this group.

We were incredibly fortunate to host Amani Ghandour, an IT Consultant and advocate for women in STEM, who shared her powerful journey from Jordan to New Zealand. Amani spoke to our students about how literacy acted as the key to opening new doors for her family when they arrived in 2006.

She reminded us that education isn't just about personal success, it’s a way to transform entire families and honour the sacrifices of those who came before us.

The highlight of the visit was seeing the excitement on our students' faces as Amani presented them with their very own Duffy Books. 📖
