🌟 Learning Through Play 🌟

Our tamariki are currently exploring cause and effect by using pipes and gutters to roll balls, cars and other equipment through to see how far they can go!

They experimented with different setups, discovering how changing the position of the pipes affected the ball’s movement. A wonderful example of curiosity, problem-solving, and learning in action! ⚽💡

Splash, pour, explore! 💦✨

Recently our tamariki enjoyed water play, using dye and metallic paint. Through scooping, pouring, and splashing, they are developing their fine motor skills, problem-solving abilities, and understanding of the world around them 💦

For many children, bedtime isn’t always cosy or warm.

A simple pair of pyjamas can change that.
It can wrap a child in warmth, comfort, and care.

As part of our commitment to nurturing New Zealand's littlest learners, today we supported the PJ Project to help those who need it most.

We had such a lovely day spent warm and cosy in our favourite pj’s!

Thank you to those of you that donated pyjamas, we love how our community always shows up for others 💕

When children are given simple materials and endless possibilities, imagination takes over.

In the sandpit, children are architects, engineers, storytellers and scientists. Through play, they shape not only the landscape before them, but their understanding of the world.

This is the result of uninterrupted play! Over the course of the morning, tamariki added to this creation, expressing their ideas and working collaboratively.

Katie alongside our Pūkeko and Kiwi tamariki made their very own magic fairy wands today! We got the idea from an old children's magazine donated to us! 🧚🏼‍♀️ 🧚🪄🫧 ✨🌷💓

There’s nothing quite like the smell of fresh bread in the morning! 🍞🥖🥯🧑‍🍳

The Pukeko Room tamariki were very excited to receive a delivery of beads and elastic today! Watch this space for their clever creations over the next few days!
