There is two ways you can build the biggest building in the city...
1. You spend all your time ripping down the other buildings so yours is the biggest.
OR
2. Build the biggest fu***ng building!
The decision is yours, are you going to spend all your time tearing other people down so you're 'the man.' Or, are you going to keep your head down on your own tasks and just build the biggest building.
The choice is yours, what will you choose?

Two pieces of advice I would give to everyone, no matter what profession you do...
1. No one gives a f**k about you!
2. Everything is your fault!
The moment you start taking responsibility for everything is the moment you put your ego and arrogance aside, and commit to growing.
How many times have you heard someone blame others for their own mistakes? Or, How many times have you seen a boss throw an employee under the buss and say it's "all your fault"?
Now, how many of those times do you respect that same person?
Responsibility is hard, it's vulnerability but it's also strength and the seed to growth!
My challenge to you is to start taking responsibility for things and watch how you develop into the person you need to be!

Do or die...
When approaching work, mindset is the most important. Some people loath the time they spend working and others are grateful for the opportunity to have a job. Which ever one you are doesn't matter for the next point because if you don't do it, the job doesn't get done!
Create a sense of urgency and become independent with your work, you either do it or you die, period!
There is time for compliments and flower petals and there is also time to just get the work done!
Do or die, get it done!

How many times do we wait on other people before we can progress?
How many times do we allow others to take control so we have someone to blame when things don't go well?
-
Take back the responsibility, own your s**t and do it yourself!

What does dreaming mean to you?
Is it just a hopeless task?
Is it a daily practice?
Or is it just for kids?
As kids we're praised for our imagination and innovation but as adults we're made to be like everyone else. We willingly climb into a box, stop dreaming and just plod along for years.
I challenge you to dream, dream far and dream wide. Ask yourself what if it came true? What if what you're thinking of actually happens?
We all know the quote of 'shoot for the moon end up in the stars' but we ignore it on a daily basis, why?
-
Are you scared of the work?
Don't want to get out of your comfort zone?
Scared of what other people may think?
-
They're all valid excuses however, what if? What if it pulled off?
Michael Jordan said "you miss 100% of the shots you didn't take"
Teddy Roosevelt clearly sates that the man in the arena is who deserves the praise, not the critic.
-
We hear it time and time again to just try or 'just do it' (as Phil knight would put it) but when it comes down to it, It's on you!
If you don't do the work then it won't happen, period!
-
So dream, dream far, dream wide and dream big. If you're willing to do something about it, then dissect it into goals and go after them! If not, then shut the f**k up and don't moan about it!
Either or it's down to you!

Who deserves more respect, the CEO or the cleaner?
To me respect is unemotional, there is no personal opinions attached to it, towards the individual. It's soulfully earned through hard work, consistency and dedication to creating good. You can dislike the person but respect their work, this part is easy. The hardest part is giving yourself the respect you deserve!
What are you going to do now to reap the rewards later?
What are you going to miss out on because you know it's not good for your mental health?
Respect is earned not given.
Do the things for you that you need to respect yourself!
So, back to my question. Who deserves more respect, the CEO or the cleaner?
Hey guys, My name is Alex the creator of ATFIT. My background in fitness began in the pool before transitioning over to Rugby Union where I was lucky enough to play for my county before an injury stopped me continuing.
I have been on the fitness scene for close to a decade and have been lucky enough to coach and treat every day athletes all the way up to international athletes in their chosen sport. I have worked with a number of clubs across multiple different sports to improve their health, longevity and performance in their chosen sport.
Through experience within the industry and having the pleasure of learning fro several different types of specialities in their fields, I am committed to putting the best information out to help you on your health lifestyle.
I thoroughly believe that fitness should supplement your lifestyle and not take over it hence why our motto is “The lifestyle of fitness.” I will do my best to break things down and help you incorporate health and fitness into your lifestyle.
