South Hornby School turns 60 years old in 2022. A group of current staff and ex pupils are in the process of planning for our reunion in November 2022.

A memory that popped up yesterday from 7 years ago when the late Martin Bootten retired after 28 years at South Hornby. You may recognise some other familiar faces in the photos - the late Zarlene Bell (former Deputy Principal, Alice Sillifant, Lindsay Penman (former Principal), Simon Moriarty (former Principal), Rosemary Ledson Waugh, Richard Breach (former Deputy Principal), etc.

Sadly but not surprisingly, we have made the call to postpone our reunion until 2023 (date to be confirmed).
We hope to align our reunion with the official opening of our new learning space being built this year.

Where did you go to school camp? Over the years South Hornby has been to many venues - Living Springs, Glentui, Blue Skies, Woodend... where did you go? Comment below.
Where was your best ever school trip to? Lots of very lucky school choirs went to Adelaide and they visited us every second year. What school trips do you remember as being your favourite?

Thanks Cathie White (nee Tongue) for sending in this Standard 3 photo from 1973. Room 23 - the school had a huge roll back then with all the booming industries that are now gone (glass factory, freezing works, etc)
