Gumboot Friday is nearly here!

This year for Gumboot Friday at Rhyme we are doing (quite a few) very cool raffles and we have some amazing prizes up for grabs! Some pretty fabulous organisations have helped to support us by donating some epic prizes just for this special event. Check them out!

All the proceeds raised will be going to Gumboot Friday, and Rhyme is proud to get behind such an important cause. We want to raise as much as we can for this incredible cause! Raffles are $2 and $5 - check out the photos to see what you can win.

Have you seen our amazing busy box in our Nursery? Thank you to Mitre10 for donating the wood to Rhyme, and a huge shout out to the very talented Adam from BD Construction and our lovely friend Laura (who was also our student recently) for putting this all together, just for us! Our littlest tamariki just love this, and it will continue to be treasured at Rhyme by many more. We are so grateful 🥰

At Rhyme our tamariki have been reflecting on and remembering our fallen Anzacs and the importance of this special day for our soldiers who fought so bravely for our country, and for those who still continue to do this today. We shall remember them ❤️

Effective 1 April 2023, more people will be eligible for subsidy and the hourly subsidy rates will increase. Changes to Childcare Subsidy include an increase to income thresholds for Childcare Subsidy and Out of School Care and Recreation (OSCAR) Subsidy

At Rhyme, we recognise that Christmas is also a time for giving and reaching out to help others in need. Recently we have been busy making little gift bags for the Kmart Wishing tree. Our tamariki are having a lot of fun creating these amazing presents, whilst chatting, learning and reflecting about helping others less fortunate than us. They turned out amazing and we can't wait to donate them all to the children who need them💛

We have also been supporting The Nest Collective Charity - where anyone can donate new baby items to be distributed to families who need them most. Our box is almost full with wonderful donations from our whānau (amazing, thank you everyone)! Anyone from our community is most welcome to pop by to add to this, there is still some space! It will be collected at the end of next week 👼

Just a refresh that we raised an incredible $400 for Gumboot Friday - I am hope! What an amazing few months we have had together by helping our community and making a difference in our world🤩

We are so, so proud to be a part of such a wonderful, caring community! 🥰
