Kāwai Rangatahi

Kāwai Rangatahi Local Youth Trust working in Linwood and surrounding communities in the East side of Ōtautahi Create opportunities for young people to give back.

Kaupapa//Mission - Rangatahi are connected and supported to develop in all areas of their lives to be able to strengthen their own communities. Moemoea//Vision - To see rangatahi living healthy in all aspects of their lives with a strong sense of purpose and belonging in their community and whanau. Whanonga pono//Values - Presence based Youth Development Work focused on quality relationships. Above all we value the individual and within that individual we value Te Tiriti o Waitangi, Community, Culture, Potential, Taha Tinana, Taha Whānau, Taha Hinengaro and Taha Wairua. Paetae // Objectives - Consistently including whanau in what we do and give good information/have good communication. Whāinga // Goals - Help build stronger connections with the young person and their whanau. To promote and teach young people to live healthier lifestyles for physical well-being. Be consistent in supporting and journeying with Taiohi to aid in positive youth development.
