Pīwakawaka Early Learning Centre

After a very exciting trip on the bus to the Pop-up Dinosaur exhibit and Tūranga Library last week our tamariki have tried their skills at paleontology - uncovering dinosaur bones and discovering remnants of the past.

We've been having fun - baking delicious kai for grandparents day and learning how to make Anzac cookies, as well as doing lots of building and joining!

What a fun week of learning and adventure with Rainbow day, Dinosaur Day, Old McDonald's Farm and Craft Day!

Our next topic is all about Careers - What kind of job do you do?

We're looking for some fun and interesting visitors who are happy to talk a bit about their day - we know it can't be nearly as fun and exciting as being preschool teachers, but are you a close second?

Our tamariki would love to meet you and learn about the fun things that are going on in our community - they'll happily pay you in hugs, high fives and thumbs up. Please reach out to us if you know someone or you are someone that could stop by for a chat.

Another fun week at Pīwakawaka!
Alongside our continued topic of Exploration, we celebrated the Lunar New Year by cleaning to make space for new beginnings, making delicious dumplings and dressing in red.
