Hey Digital Screen students! ⭐️

It’s study time, and we know it can be a little stressful preparing for exams and final assessments.

This is a little post to remind you about the many resources you can tap into if you’re needing extra support! 🤗

UC has a Well-being Hub on the UC website. This is where you can find access to:

📚 Support for academic study
🧠 Mental well-being
🍏 Health and fitness
❤️ Support services
💬 Need to talk? You can book an appointment with our student care team, everyone needs a good chat every now and then!

Here’s a few tips to help you on the study train: 🚂

1- Study/read one chunk of text or a page at a time. 📖 Writing down key words is handy too! (Make sure to use the key words in essays also, lecturers love it when you apply them)

2- If you get writers block, just keep writing, you’ll surprise yourself with what you actually get down and can edit afterwards ✍️

3- Be kind to yourself 🫶🏻 As a first year student, you’re learning so many new things and building knowledge and skills to prepare you for the next years ahead 🙌

Just know that the first semester is always a biggie with navigating uni life, but be encouraged, you’ll be finding your study groove and the best place for curly fries on campus in no time! 🍟

To access the support options, just type in ‘well-being hub,’ in the UC websites search bar, it will be the first to pop up! 💻

Also Evan and Kirsty are available to support you from our Kaitoko team. Just visit the front desk of Te Pātaka (level 2 in the library), they’re here to help you succeed!

We hope you have a great weekend, make sure to rest and play and as always, stay safe!

Noho ora mai,

Digital Screen whānau 👋
