We had the absolute best time joining the Girls Adventure Squad for the Spirited Women Adventure Race! Taking on the short course was the perfect way to dive in, and honestly? We’re low-key hooked. Seeing thousands of women out there pushing their limits and supporting each other was the ultimate core memory.
Already counting down the days until next year! Who’s coming with us? 🌲🏃♀️🛶

Ditch the petals, grab the pedals. 🏁 Flowers are cute, but bikes are a whole different love language. Who’s riding today? ❤️🚲
We decided 2026 was going to be the year of big adventures, and the Old Ghost Road definitely delivered. 🚲
The weather wasn’t exactly on our side, but a little rain (okay, a lot) didn’t stop the fun. We traded the views for some epic misty vibes and plenty of mud!
Massive shoutout to —the racks handled the rough techy sections like a dream. And a huge thanks to for keeping the engine running when the climbs got steep. 10/10 would do it all again.
Day 3 of the Rebel Ride was all about momentum. We started early to stay ahead of the weather, fueled by incredible views and the carrot on the stick: a stop at the St Bathans pub. 🍻 My legs were feeling it, but the soul was full! The sense of accomplishment was something else.

Last-minute update: We are moving tomorrow’s first session to Bottle Lake to keep things riding smooth despite the weather.
Day 2 of the Rebel Ride South took us from Alexandra to Oturehua. Physically? Much smoother than yesterday. Mentally? A total grind!
Nothing tests your resolve like a Central Otago headwind on a straight stretch of road. One pedal stroke at a time until we reached the finish line.

New Year, same mud! 🚵♂️💨
The weather definitely didn’t get the memo for the first day of 2026, but we still managed to squeeze in a wet and wild ride. Not exactly the “sun-soaked start” we were hoping for, but blasting around Bottle Lake was the best way to kick things off!
May the rest of the year bring plenty more adventures—both on and off the bike. Happy New Year everyone! I hope you all smash every goal you’ve set for yourself this year. ✨
Rebel Ride South edits are here! This was Day 1 - we were all a bit anxious and excited to get going and we knew it was going to be a tough long day. Even with loads of preparation it was still tough, especially the hike-a-bike up the last hill! Everyone was so amazing and it was the best vibe even though we were all digging deep to get the first day completed! I don’t think I have ever eaten as much as I did that day, the were a huge hit to keep me going! We seriously put the gear to the test on the rugged single track and the racks were solid as! 💪
Mission Accomplished: Rebel Ride Prep Decided to throw my legs AND my new bike-packing setup into the deep end for a pre-Rebel Ride test. Happy to report:
1. Made it up the monster hill without having to push. 🥳
2. All cargo secured perfectly, thanks to the new setup. Zero hiccups.
Feeling absolutely shattered but incredibly satisfied with the result. Now we just have to do this 4 days in a row in a little over week... well, wish us luck! 😅
What’s your biggest bike-packing setup concern? 👇
This is a goal years in the making! Even before starting Be-Spoke, I had the idea of diving into more bike-packing adventures longer than overnight trips. 🧭
What started as a loose plan suddenly became very real when I discovered the amazing Rebel Rides!
I absolutely love the concept. It’s designed to be a no-pressure challenge, and the whole movement is created specifically to encourage more women to get into this kind of riding. That’s a mission I can fully support! 🚴♀️
I’m officially signed up for the Rebel Ride South in December! Let me know in the comments: Have you tried bike-packing yet, and what was your first trip like?
The truth is, I let my riding slide towards the end of last season. Going through autumn and winter with minimal saddle time was tough; it truly affected my energy and mood. At the end of September, I set myself a massive goal to get back on track. I’ve chosen a big challenge that will push me out of my comfort zone and force me to train for a style of riding I’ve never tried.
