We’ve had so much fun celebrating Samoan Language Week this week!
🌴Sophie painted some beautiful pictures in each of our classrooms to celebrate.
🌴One of our children showed photos and spoke about her trip to Samoa.
🌴Kirstin made pani popo (coconut buns) for everyone to try.
🌴We invited Hornby Primary School to perform their sasa and siva for us, which was so special!
🌴We learned how to open coconuts and make coconut milk/cream!
🌴There were many activities throughout the classrooms.
🌴Our teachers were treated to some sapasui (chop suey!) for lunch too!

What an amazing way to finish the year! We are so grateful to the owners of our amazing centre, Sarah and Luke for all of the ways that they show their appreciation for us all year round but especially at Christmas time.
A little fun fact- they come in and personally hand deliver birthday gifts and hand written cards to us all- as well as our sister centres -that’s over 120 staff members! They throw us epic Christmas parties, remember our partners and children’s names, and have generous wellbeing and professional development budgets in place.
Thanks so much Sarah & Luke, we feel so valued and appreciated 💚💚
2 more days of fun ahead before we all take two weeks off- see you all on Monday!
