This week at our Lyttelton Street centre we had a Wheels Day. Here are some snaps of the fun we had driving around in the carpark. Bikes, cars, scooters and prams were all out so that everyone was involved - such fun!!

We are seeking a fulltime teacher in our kindergarten, which offers a wide range of learning experiences for children aged from 2 to 6 years old. We have large play spaces that flow easily from inside to outside and are well-resourced. Respectful practices and a focus on fostering social skills encourage independence and confidence in our young people. Our community vegetable gardens are a fantastic way to share with our families.
We are committed to growing our team members and offer support with registration.

Thinking of having a spring clean? 🌸🧹 We’re needing to fill our Rawa pods - especially with homeware goods. We’d love blankets, towels, pots, pillows, and items for homes.

These pods are full of women’s and kid’s clothing and homeware items, and are accessible for women to access. Last month they were visited 112 times!

To celebrate Father's Day, two of our lucky Dads will be receiving a copy of this fantastic book. Written and illustrated by Fergus Turnbull, it is very reader-friendly, as well as encouraging and purposeful. Keep up the good work Dads and we hope you have an amazing day with your little ones.

We are looking for a gardener/maintenance person to care for our 4 early learning centres. Jobs include general garden care and lawns as well as fixing resources and equipment. We welcome applications for a registered kaiako for our Lyttelton Street ELC. We are a Christian community-based centre and are licensed for 41 children aged 0 to 3.5 years.
A key strength for us is relationships – within the team, with children and with whānau. Respectful, open communication is important, as well as a growth mindset. Our strengths-based philosophy, together with a fun and collaborative teaching and learning environment, contribute to a special place to be a part of. Our professional growth cycle will grow you, or if you are working towards registration we can support you with that too.

Te Whare Rama/ Light House ELC is seeking an amazing kaiako for a full-time, permanent position in our Lyttelton St ELC, working with children aged 6 months to 3.5 years old, as well as a maternity leave kaiako starting Jan 2023.

Te Whare Rama provides a play-based, interest-led curriculum based on Te Whāriki, where children experience a wide variety of opportunities with a strong focus on identifying strengths and meeting individual needs.

A foundational strength of our faith-based centres lies in the relationships we develop with tamariki, whānau, colleagues and the wider community. Connections are respectful, intentional and positive.

If you are highly motivated, caring, enthusiastic, committed to having a growth mindset and take pride in the profession, come and join the team!
