Ako Tahi Preschool

We are seeking a full-time unregistered teacher or teacher in training to join our whanau.

Ako Tahi is about learning together as one. We value fun, happiness, and laughter, with play-based learning supporting the development of curiosity, resilience, and confidence. We pride ourselves on our low ratio's, quality environment, relationships and connections with our community.

We are seeking someone with:
Experience in working with all age groups, as this position is currently for 3 days in the nursery and 2 days in the Preschool.
Able to work 34 hours per week (8.30am-3pm, plus 4 hours non-contact per week).
A genuine love and passion working with children.

We can offer:
100% free fees for your own children.
A highly experienced and supportive management team.
A Manager that provides on-going consultation and communication.
4 hours non-contact time per week for assessment, PGC's, planning.
Staff meetings from 3-4pm once a month.

We have HUGE play spaces, great teacher/child ratios, and best of all - spaces currently available 😍 In the nursery we have 1 adult to every 4 children. In the over 2s room we have 1 adult to every 8 children.

If you qualify for WINZ then there are LOW fees, and if that's not you we still offer 20hrs free for children aged 3-6 and a LOW hourly rate the rest of the time.

We are open from 8:45am-2.45pm every weekday.

Welcome back to all our Tamariki and whanau, we have been hearing about all the exciting adventures that happened over the Christmas break.
We are looking forward to working together through this next year to extend and embed our learning.
This week we are focusing on helping Tamariki to settle back into the environment and reestablish friendships.
