Congratulations to our Arcady alumnus Izzy! 🥳
Congratulations to UC Engineering graduate Isabelle Peet, who is following in family footsteps and beginning her career as a civil engineer👏
When Isabelle celebrated her Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) this week, she had three generations of her family in the audience — including her father and grandfather, both engineers with strong ties to UC.
Now, Isabelle is starting her own career with a graduate role at AECOM in Christchurch applying her skills to real-world infrastructure projects, with a focus on structural engineering.
“I really enjoy the practicality of engineering and how it comes into almost everything that we do, even if we don’t realise that it does,” she says.
From building long-term friendships at UC to launching her career in what she describes as the “cool” city of Ōtautahi Christchurch, Isabelle’s story shows the impact of a UC education across generations.
We look forward to celebrating with Isabelle and her engineering-focused whānau 🎓
