🤝🥰 POOL PEOPLE Meet Maureen who leads the Carterton Indoor Community Pool Project Team's fundraising. Maureen is currently organising the The Alternative Garden Tour - A Gardener's Trail pool fundraiser which is being held on 24 October.

Maureen says "There are so many reasons why I feel the indoor pool is essential for me and the local community.

I have osteoarthritis in my hips and lower back and I know that the low impact exercise in water reduces the strain on my joints. Each time I get out after a swim the pain is reduced to almost nothing, and both my body and mind feel much improved.

Without using this pool I feel I would not remain flexible enough to do many other tasks which fill my days, including gardening, cycling and a general busy family life.

In the bigger picture this pool is absolutely necessary and extremely important for the health and well being of our community.”

Well done Tom 👏 🏅

Tom, Chloe and Harper proudly represented Carterton Swimming Club at the Swimming Wellington Junior Sprint Challenge at Coastlands last night.

Tom had an outstanding meet, producing some fantastic personal bests and achieving:
🥇 1st Place – Year 10 Boys 100m Individual Medley
🥈 2nd Place – Year 10 Boys 50m Butterfly
🥉 3rd Place – Year 10 Boys 50m Backstroke

Congratulations to Tom on an excellent performance, and well done to Chloe and Harper for their efforts in the pool. We are proud of everyone representing Carterton Swimming Club!
