He mahi uaua te takiwiri moo ngaa matimati ringaringa iti, engari he tino reka te otinga! Too maatou waimarie hoki, naa te koha arani o teetahi whaanau. 🍊

Twisting is tricky work for little hands and fingers, but the result is delicious! We're so lucky to be gifted oranges from one of our whānau! 🍊

Our māreikura Nanny Ngaronoa has passed. Nanny Ngaronoa fought hard to open our Koohanga Reo early 90s was the first kaiako & taught and loved our tamariki for 20 or so years.

We travelled to Rukumoana Marae this morning, to say our goodbyes and express our gratitude.

Rest in peace, Nanny Ngaronoa 🖤🤍❤️

Inapoo, i whakanuia Matariki e too maatou Koohanga Reo whaanau ngaatahi. He kai maha, ngaa rare ngohengohe kua whakarewatia i te Paa onepuu, me ngaa ngohe hei whakanui ia whetuu. Manawa maiea Matariki! ✨

Last night the families of our Koohanga Reo celebrated Matariki together. There was lots of food, toasted marshmallows over a fire in the sandpit, and activities to celebrate each star. Full hearts and bellies for the year ahead! ✨

It's a such a special time when our kids are young. Support them, give them your love, share the knowledge and skills passed down, so they can stand strong in the world. 🌱

Our Koohanga Reo is a safe, creative, loving space for our kids to play, develop their skills, their big hearts, their knowledge of the Maaori world, and their confidence to speak Te Reo Maaori. 💚
