We’re so excited to welcome Sam and his farmyard friends! Children will get to meet lots of gorgeous farm animals, with pony rides available for children under 40kg. 🐴💕

🚑 ST JOHN AMBULANCE – KIDS FIRST AID!
The St John team will be joining us to teach the kids some really important skills — what to do in an emergency, how to get help and some basic first aid skills. An awesome opportunity to learn while having fun! 👩‍🚒🚑

We hope you all enjoyed a wonderful holiday break! It was such a fantastic two weeks at Holiday Programme, filled with creativity, laughter, new friendships and so many happy memories. Thank you to everyone who joined us – we loved spending the holidays with your amazing children!

Now that we’re back into the school routine, we’d love you to take a couple of minutes to check your bookings in Enrolmy to make sure everything is set up for the term ahead.

When checking your regular bookings, please make sure the booking end date in the drop-down box is set to either the end of Term 3 or the end of Term 4, depending on your family’s needs. Then scroll to bottom and save the changes that have been made. It’s a quick check that ensures you have the bookings that you require and that you don’t get charged non-booking fees.

Upcoming School Closed Days

This term we have two days where school is closed, and Funky Kids Club will be running programmes of care.

📅 Tuesday 28 July – Kanohi ki te Kanohi Meetings

School will finish early at 1.00 pm.

If your child needs care from 1.00 pm until 3.00 pm, they’ll need to be booked into our School Closed Day Supervision Session. From 3.00 pm, our regular After School Care session will begin as normal.

Please remember: If your child usually attends After School Care, they’ll still need a separate booking for the 1.00–3.00 pm supervision session, as their regular booking only begins at 3.00 pm.

📅 Monday 24 August – Teacher Only Day

We’ll be open all day with another fun-filled programme of activities, games, crafts and plenty of time to play with friends. Bookings are now open through Enrolmy, and we recommend booking early as places can fill quickly.

As always, thank you for choosing Funky Kids Club. We feel incredibly lucky to spend time with such a wonderful group of children every day, and we can’t wait to see what adventures Term 3 brings!

🌟 What a fantastic day at Holiday Programme! 🌟
Today was full of creativity, confidence, and fun!

Our cardboard creations were incredible, with so much imagination and teamwork on display. We also loved watching everyone shine in our talent show—it was wonderful to see our tamariki having the confidence to share their unique talents.

Our COGS and Virtues Awards continue to help create an environment where our children are encouraged to be the very best they can be. We celebrate that everyone's best looks different, and it's inspiring to see our tamariki showing kindness, perseverance, creativity, and courage every day.

👏 Congratulations to today's COGS and Virtues Award winners, Zach and Emily M. We're so proud of you both!

⭐ Tomorrow is Token Day – our day to make a difference! We'll be helping Chris get the school ready for the start of term, so if you can lend a hand, we'd love to see you there. Many hands make light work!

⚽ We'll also have the England vs Argentina game on as soon as we open. Come along early to cheer on England and, hopefully, watch them make the final!

☕🥯 We'll have hot chocolate and fresh bagels with jam ready for our early birds.

🍦 And to finish off an amazing holiday programme, we'll be celebrating Token Day with rewards... including ice cream!

🧘‍♀️💅 Relax & Recharge Day at Funky Kids Club 💚✨

After an action-packed start to the holidays, today was all about slowing down, being creative, and spending time with friends.

Our budding artists painted colourful rocks that will soon be hidden around the school for others to discover – we can’t wait to see who finds them! 🎨🪨

There was plenty of sparkle as children designed beautiful jewellery, while our very popular hair salon and nail salon kept everyone looking fabulous! 💇‍♀️💅 We also mixed up some wonderfully gooey slime, which is always a holiday favourite!

Of course, there was still lots of time for the things our tamariki love most – soccer on the field, movies with friends, climbing and jumping on the blue mats, and simply enjoying the freedom to choose their favourite activities.

This afternoon we will be decorating
cookies!

Sometimes the best days are the ones where children can relax, recharge, create, laugh, and just be kids. ❤️

We can’t wait for another fantastic day of holiday fun tomorrow!

❄️🐧 Brrrr… what an amazing Arctic adventure we are having today at Funky Kids Club! 🐻‍❄️🦭
Our hall was transformed into a frozen wonderland as we explored the fascinating world of Arctic animals. The children’s creativity was on full display as they designed incredible snowy landscapes, adorable Arctic animal artwork, and some fantastic igloo creations. We can’t wait for you to see all of their masterpieces!
Of course, there was plenty of time for our favourite Holiday Programme activities too—running, playing, creating, laughing, and spending time with friends. Whether they were building, crafting, climbing, playing football, enjoying the blue mats, or joining in group games, there was something exciting happening everywhere you looked.
With the chilly winter weather outside, nothing tasted better than sitting down together for a delicious hot bowl of homemade soup with warm toast. It was the perfect way to warm up and recharge before another afternoon packed with fun.
Days like today remind us that winter can be just as magical as summer. Creativity, friendship, imagination, and plenty of laughter make every day at Holiday Club an adventure.
We hope your children come home excited to tell you all about their Arctic discoveries today—and don’t forget to ask them about their artwork and everything else they got up to!
