Our team have been hard at work at the Cambridge Wastewater Treatment Plant.

We’ve completed key infrastructure work, including installation of new water, stormwater and wastewater pipelines. We’ve also been constructing building foundations, the roading network within the treatment plant and temporary retaining works.

We threw a site BBQ as a big thank you to Spartan Construction Limited and everyone working at the Cambridge Waster Water Treatment Plant.

Shout out to Cy-Co The Cycle Coffee Company for the hot brews👏

Our team have been working throughout the Central North Island over the last few months, putting together a range of civil construction projects.

We have been building timber pole and magnumstone retaining walls, installing river scour protection rock walls, carrying out bulk and detailed earthworks, building pavements, installing stormwater pipeline upgrades and laying 1m diameter wastewater pipes.

A big shoutout to the hardworking crews and subcontractors putting these projects together!

We’ve gone back to our roots, laying large diameter stormwater pipes.🚧

We are working with HEB Construction, constructing a network of stormwater pipes near Tauranga. The project requires the installation of an 1800mm diameter pipeline, including a 7m deep install below the existing road level.

We’re proud to be part of this project and we’re thrilled to continue to help deliver upgrades to the transport network for the Bay of Plenty community.

We’ve wrapped up critical road repair work in Coromandel last month, with the team finishing the repair work of multiple slips near Coromandel Township and Kopu.

🚧 Extensive repairs involved constructing two new anchored timber retaining walls, a gabion wall (rock-filled wire mesh blocks), and two large rock buttress walls.

As always, a massive shoutout to the staff and subcontractors who contributed to the delivery of these repairs!

Also, a big thanks to the public for their patience while the works were taking place.

We’ve kicked off work to repair the Mangarino Road slip in Waitomo!

The team started with delivering environmental controls and topsoil stripping, before commencing earthworks.

Shout-out to and JB Excavations Ltd for their awesome work delivering bulk earthworks.

This is our largest government project to date, delivered in partnership with Waitomo District Council and Pinnacles Civil.

Most days you’ll find Nicholls and Uttinger Director Alister working across our sites, helping the team deliver great results for our clients.

This year, Alister is also spending some time in the classroom, as he takes part in The Icehouse Owner Manager Programme. 📚

Delivered in five three-day blocks over five months, the programme is designed to help business owners develop new skills and frameworks to drive success.

Alister’s looking forward to applying his new knowledge to help take Nicholls & Uttinger to the next level. 💪

It’s been a big week for our team! We’ve had crews at six sites across the Central North Island, from as far south as Piopio to as far north as Kopu. 🦺

Our crews are delivering pavement construction, chipsealing, landscaping, tree felling and arborist work, stormwater drainage, soak pits, river scour protection works - and more.

A massive shout-out and thanks to our hardworking staff, subcontractors and suppliers for putting in the effort to get the work done.

And to our team for capturing these awesome shots. 👌📸

Another bluebird day in the mighty Waikato 😎

This shot was taken on-site recently at the Transpower Substation in Hautapu, where we’re delivering stormwater drainage for our client Spartan Construction Limited.
