✝ This week, we held our Annual Bible Reading competition in the church. It was such a difficult job for our judges Father Philip and Chris McLiesh due to the high calibre of the readers, and we thank them for their hard work.

What a fantastic day for our Cross Country event.

We couldn’t have asked for better weather, and it was wonderful to see so many parents out cheering on our runners.

A massive thank you to all the parent and staff helpers who lent a hand today. Special thanks to Mrs Littlejohn for her incredible effort in organising such a great event. Events like this couldn’t happen without you all.

Our students represented our kura with pride at this year's Kapa Haka festival. Thank you to whaea Troy and matua Joe and Mrs Sharma for all the mahi that went into preparing our children.

Thank you also to the parents who helped on the day and transported our tamariki. And Guia for the video footage. We are very proud of this group.

Carolyn MacKenzie (an ex teacher at our school) just published the children's book ‘An Island Gem: The Rakino Island story’ by Carolyn Mackenzie. The story tells the journey of a small island as it transforms from a place overrun by invasive rats into a thriving sanctuary filled with native birdlife. Told through the eyes of the island itself.​

St Johns junior volleyball team would love to offer an exciting sports opportunity to our Year 8 students - boys and girls.
A 4-hour Youth Volleyball Skills Clinic designed to introduce young students to the sport, promote physical activity, and teach fundamental skills like passing, setting, and serving. The clinic is open to all skill levels and focuses heavily on teamwork, fitness, and fun.
Clinic Details:
● Date: 28th or 30th September (Term 3 School Holidays)
● Time: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
● Location: St Johns Gymnasium
● Cost: $50 per child / per day (includes a healthy mid-morning snack)

Congratulations to Adam Wittstock and Frenceska Oliveros who represented our school in the Waikato Regional Speech competition last night. Both speakers have put a lot of work into their oratory performances and did an excellent job.
- The judges only give out first and second place at these events and Frenceska was told she was very, very close to placing second.
