Huge congratulations on being leading vendor for the 33rd time. We’re so proud to see you back on top, and to top it off with that 1.1 million sale just incredible. How lucky are we? Mares, foals, mares, foals and more foals. They begin their education with us from three weeks of age so it is our week to start at Windsor Park Stud for the 2024 Breeding season. Could the mares and foals be any more gorgeous?

Sir Patrick was an absolute legend who helped so many of us. He was our first supporter who paved the way for Foal NZ to what it is today. We will be forever grateful to him.

A pioneer of New Zealand thoroughbred racing and breeding Sir Patrick Hogan established the now world-renowned Cambridge Stud and forever changed the fabric of the thoroughbred breeding industry ❤️

In 1975 he purchased an Irish stallion by the name of Sir Tristram. It was then a legacy was created and Sir Patrick's life would be changed forever. Sir Tristram would go on to sire a record amount of 45 Gr.1 winners 🙌🏽

Sir Tristram's progeny earned him 17 official Leading Australasian sire premierships, plus nine broodmare sire titles and he was inducted in the New Zealand Racing Hall of Fame in 2008.

The sire of sires was to only be closely matched by his own son Zabeel, also in the care of Sir Patrick.

Quite incredibly matching his exact tally of Group 1 winners as well as notching a raft of stallion premierships 🏆

Zabeel was inducted into the New Zealand Racing Hall of Fame with 315 sired stakes wins.

Sir Patrick Hogan was knighted in 1999 for his services to thoroughbred racing, and was also inducted into both the Australian and New Zealand Hall Of Fame.

Alongside his beloved wife Justine, the pair created a world-renowned legacy that will never be forgotten ❤️

Congratulations Monica and Artist. What a great achievement! He looks so athletic and what a close rapport you two have. Artist is our most successful sporthorse graduate. He graduated in 8 sessions with us. His notes read ‘he learnt his lessons easily but took a little longer to feel confident and relaxed’. What a star!!! Fingers crossed for Olympic selection.

Let’s hear it for the mighty 'Max', AKA Artist (Guillotine x Maxamore) and Monica Spencer Eventing for their impressive 7th place finish at their debut Defender Kentucky Three-Day Event 5 ⭐

Artist was not only bred by Windsor Park Stud, he is also an EventStars Ltd graduate which is owned and operated by Gina Schick, co-owner of Windsor Park. Now a 12YO, Max has made his mark on the international eventing scene, flying the flag for the NZ-bred thoroughbred and showcasing their versatility.

Max trialed twice as a young horse, finding his niche at the highest-level eventing on the world stage. Following in the footsteps of legendary Olympic Gold medal combination of NZ thoroughbred Ready Teddy and Blyth Tait, Max took out the coveted NZ Thoroughbred Breeders' Association Ready Teddy Award in 2022.

The Paris 2024 eventing team will be named late June - how fantastic would it be to see Max and Monica follow in the footsteps of many thoroughbred combinations and compete at the very highest level?!

We are incredibly proud of these absolute legends 😍
