Chord tip: I play my C chord a little differently, but when I’m teaching students, I always encourage using the ring finger. It sets you up with good habits and makes changing chords easier later on.

🎶 Music teacher life lately 🎶

Three days a week I’m teaching music in the classroom, and one day a week is dedicated to private music lessons.

This year I’ve been enjoying a mix of travelling to some students (“travel to you” lessons) and teaching from my Cambridge venue. I’m really loving the variety!

A huge thank you to Raleigh Street Christian Centre for being the home of my Cambridge lessons each week. Such a neat space to be able to hire!

🎶 What a fantastic afternoon at Monsta Jam in Putāruru! 🎶

Today Lance and I joined a great bunch of local musicians for an afternoon of music, laughs, and good company. It was so awesome reconnecting with musician friends, meeting some new faces, and sharing a few songs together.

There’s something pretty special about a room full of people who simply love making music.

Here’s my classic go-to band song. Sorry it’s only a short clip!!
