We need your help! This weekend our students are tackling the World Vision 40 Hour Challenge to raise funds so children in Solomon Islands can get the nutritious food they need.
Our student challenges range from biking or walking 40km, to going offline for 40 hours, staying awake for 40 hours, and going without food.

The Community & Sustainability Committee recently hosted its Students Against Dangerous Driving (SADD) Week shining a spotlight on the importance of road safety.
A powerful mock crash scene brought the consequences of dangerous driving to life showing what can happen when drivers make poor choices on our roads.
Student actors played victims in the crash and emergency services showcased the real-life response to such crashes including using the jaws of life to dismantle the car, arresting the driver, and loading 'victims' into an ambulance.
We hope that the sight and sounds made a lasting impact on new and younger drivers. It is a grave reminder that we all need to make good decisions before we get in the car and drive.
A special thanks to the local fire brigade, St John and police for their involvement and support. Fire and Emergency NZ, St John Ambulance, New Zealand Police

We are proud to congratulate FOUR of our senior Drama students on being selected as part of the SGCNZ National Shakespeare Schools Production!
Only 48 students are chosen from both the SGCNZ Regional and National competitions and our own Blake Hanson, Madeleine Pryor, Milla Seath and Vinnie Proebstel have been selected. They will join some of Aotearoa's most talented young performers at a week long camp and Shakespearean intensive in Poneke during the September term break.
From there, 24 students are then selected to join the SGCNZ Young Shakespeare Company who travel to London for workshops, training and a once in a lifetime performance opportunity on The Globe Stage. Current students Aspen Gooch and Evelyn Winter were selected for this company in 2025 and jet off to London at the end of this term.
Congratulations to the four of you, we could not be prouder of your incredible success.

🎼Congratulations to The Kemureti Quintet who performed at the NZ Chamber Music Contest at Gallagher Academy of Performing Arts yesterday. 🎹🎻
The quintet is made up of Austin Savage on piano, Valentina Di Maio and Nicole Van Der Maazen on violin, Zoe Clarke on viola and Katrina Winter on cello and they performed Adagio in C Minor by Daniel Peters. An original composition by our own Mr Peters.
The adjudicated comments included “Your sustained playing was commendable. As an ensemble, you all played with poise and great respect for the music, which is technically demanding.”

A huge thank you to two incredible groups from Cambridge High School for fundraising towards our Wings2Learn programme, supporting children in Afghanistan to access essential learning materials they need to thrive at school.
The Junior Execs hosted a bake sale, while the LEOS organised a movie night. Together, they raised an amazing $600 for the programme, which will ensure an entire classroom of children receive a year's worth of stationery.
We are so grateful for your enthusiasm, generosity, and commitment to making a difference. Thank you for creating brighter futures through education. 💙📚
