Grow Early Education Cambridge

Grow Early Education Cambridge High standards of Excellence in Education. Inspiring and innovative- warm, caring and highly respons

What we provide is a childcare and kindergarten service that is an “organic type education”, inspiring and innovative with warm caring and highly responsive teaching from birth to five. We provide a really boutique-feeling, home-like quality environment for our littlest ones and ensure that if they have older siblings, we can cater for the whole family. Our kids get the best available to set them

up for their ‘formal’ education. Within high quality design, play spaces aid a feeling of connection within the Centre. Children can be working independently yet feel secure and part of a bigger picture. Teachers within teaching teams are able to work collegially and yet independently (with few or small groups of children). Using space and light the centre provides a welcoming feel, with teachers utilising opportunities for people who arrive to feel at home. Children who are enrolled are "part of the family" and due to smaller group size take advantage of connectivity with their siblings and also other attending families. From Management through to cleaners: a huge importance is placed on everyone giving/receiving high quality service and playing a part in the foundations of the next generation of Kiwis. Facilities available to enrolled families such as swimming and excursions are embedded into regular programming. Children are given regular "grass roots" opportunities, sustainable living and connections to the environment woven into the programme (such as gardening, recycling, water conservation and solar energy). Technology is creatively implemented into daily routine, child play based learning, child/family planning, programme design and link with the wider world and local community. Grow is spacious - reflective of the outdoor living spaces at St Kilda with lots of room to get active (including bike areas, sandpit/construction and challenging physical development equipment).

Maungakawa ~ 2026
A special day for us, and our annual visit to Maungakawa. "Kia whakatōmuri te haere whakamua. Turn your face to the Sun, let the shadow fall behind you.” We certainly enjoyed all the positive vibes that this gorgeous day has brought with it. This year we were accompanied by the most attentive Piiwakawaka, and the Tui birdsong was beautiful. It is our pleasure to plan and enjoy experiences like this with and alongside you: our Grow Whaanau.

It was our pleasure to host Grandies and Special Guests this morning at Grow! The early Waikato fog lifted to reveal the most stunning mid-winter day. Timed perfectly with the first offical day of the 2026 Matariki period (June 19 - July 26). A delightful way to finish our week. What is the most important thing in the world? He tangata, he tangata, he tangata. It is the people, it is the people, it is the people

Grow tamariki often explore the extensive wetlands in our local community. Our older learners love to plan their own hikoi (walks), with enthusiastic kaiako who support them to lead this aspect of the programme.

Fostering a love of learning, books provide foundational experiences with print. Early literacy learning is anchored in play-based environments where children interact meaningfully with print, language sounds, and stories to make sense of the world.
