All whaanau attending the kapa haka festival today. Entry to the event is from the doors on the lake side of the Don Rowlands Centre. There is a koha entry at the door.

🚀🧸 We’ve had a VERY exciting week in Phase One! 🧸🚀

Timatanga and Te Puna were super lucky to have MOTAT (the Museum of Transport and Technology) bring their amazing STEM Cell classroom to us! 🔬🚗🤖

Emily and Ashley from MOTAT had our tamariki exploring, discovering, learning and PLAYING with toys from the past and today! 🎲🪀

We matched up old toys with their modern-day versions and talked about how they have changed over time. We explored toys that help build different skills and checked out HEAPS of soft toys! We even saw toys that were 100 years old! 🧸

There was lots of hands-on fun, plenty of curiosity and some very enthusiastic playing! 🙌✨

It was the perfect experience to bring our Inquiry learning to life as we explore how have childhoods changed over time.

A huge THANK YOU to Emily and Ashley from MOTAT for bringing so much fun and learning to our tamariki! 💛

🚜💛 Another MASSIVE shout-out to our amazing PTA! 💛🚜

Our Timatanga learners want to say a HUGE THANK YOU for the awesome diggers you have bought for us! 🙌

They have been an absolute HIT! 🚧👷‍♀️👷‍♂️ Our tamariki are loving using them during Learning Through Play and break times, digging, scooping, carrying and creating - all while developing those important gross motor skills! 💪✨

We are so lucky to have such a supportive PTA who help make our learners’ days even more fun! 💛

While the mud might not as been as plentiful, there was still a lot of fun had.
Our mud run team and bus is due back right on the bell. See you all soon to pick up your crew at normal end of day time of 3pm.
