What a great day we had today! Everyone completed a new painting. Some pottery was painted too. We had lollies and drinks. No one wanted the yellow and orange ones!
And I said goodbye to a bunch of test pieces, glaze tests, first attempts with the wheel. And I still have so much stuff to pack up!
If anyone is interested in 2 piece plaster moulds, (designed for clay slip casting) I am giving them away.

First off I'd like to thank all the people who have supported Cambridge Kids Art Club classes, have attended open days and purchased pottery from my studio.

Twin Kauri Studio is closing! I am moving my studio to Commerce Street in Hamilton and moving myself to another address in Cambridge. I will not be giving up making or teaching ceramics but it will be a while before my studio is functional again.

In the meantime I am working part time at the Waikato Society of Potters (opposite Hamilton Girls High).
On April 13 there will be an open day at WSP, it will be a fun day for all ages. I will be volunteering and I have booked a stall as I'm quite keen to sell the pottery that I still have so that eventually I can start fresh.
Please mark the date and I hope to see you there!

With Easter in our sights eggs and bunnies have been constructed. Eggs carefully painted in happy colours look deceptively edible!

Happy New Year to all kids and caregivers.
I hope you're all well rested, sun tanned and ready for school again.
At the end of last year I turned 65. After a lot of thinking about the next stage of my life I have reached a decision. I will be moving on from Leamington and this will mean the end of Cambridge Kids Art Classes. I know! its a drastic change but it won't happen immediately.
Classes will resume as normal until the Easter break at the end of term 1.
Looking forward to seeing you in the studio on the 13th of February. 😊

Very impressed by the skills and diversity of beautiful objects made recently. Ending another year today. Thanks children and parents. Have a fun and relaxing time hopefully we will get some beach weather soon. All the best 🤗❤️
