🚨🔥 FIRE DRILL WEEK 🔥🚨

This week at playgroup we'll be practising our fire drill procedures to help keep everyone safe.

While we hope we never need to use them, regular practice helps our tamariki, whānau, and volunteers know exactly what to do in an emergency.

Fire drills are an important part of creating a safe environment for everyone who attends our playgroup. Thank you for supporting us as we help our little learners build confidence and awareness around safety.

Our dress-ups are always such a hit at our sessions! 🕷️🕸️

A huge thank you to Cambridge Toy Library for donating this awesome Spider-Man costume. The kids absolutely love it!

If you're not already a member, be sure to check them out. They have an incredible range of toys available to hire, including ride-on toys, slides, games, puzzles, dress-ups, and so much more. It's a fantastic resource for families and a great way to keep playtime fresh and exciting!

This week in NZ, from June 14 to 20, is Te Wiki Tūao ā-Motu, National Volunteer Week. This year's theme is "Your Year to Volunteer" (Tōu tau ki te tūao), aiming to recognize active volunteers and prompt new people to start.

A massive thank you to our incredible committee, who do so much behind the scenes to keep playgroup thriving. Your time and mahi are appreciated by so many!

With Fieldays mania spreading across Cambridge, we wanted to reassure you that we are still open this week, for all families, old and new, so come on down for some fun in the sun 🌞

We are also still taking orders for our Nothing Naughty Bars fundraiser. PM to place your orders by 19th to bag yourselves a yummy and healthy snack stash. Don't miss out!

Lastly, our AGM is scheduled for 7pm next Wednesday, 17th, and all are welcome (dessert included). We are on the hunt for new committee members, so pop down if you are interested - no pressure, just come and see what a wonderful bunch we are 😊 PM for more details.

Orders need to be in by FRIDAY 19th JUNE.

With PINK SHIRT DAY in mind, this week, our wonderful tamariki will be decorating their own shirt to have displayed on our walls. We will be keeping their artwork up as a reminder of how important kindness, inclusiveness, and supporting diversity are to Cambridge Kids Playgroup. Feel free to come in your favourite pink clothes to show your support 💕
