Visual Art Workshops for children aged 5-14 to encourage participation in the visual arts and the gr

Collage or ‘drawing with scissors’ (as Matisse described his famous cut outs) is a favourite method of making here at Studio Artly. It allows children to explore concepts of colour, balance and composition without the ‘pressure’ of being able to draw.

We can’t wait to get exploring collage and other methods of making with our students. Our next term of creativity begins on Tuesday 7th February. See you all soon.

We couldn’t agree more, but then maybe we have a slight bias when it comes to all things art.

If you have a child or know a child that enjoys all things art too, we have places available in our classes for term 1.

For further information please DM Studio Artly or email [email protected]

A big thank you to all the students and parents who were part of the first term of Studio Artly. It was an absolute pleasure to get to meet you and be a part of your children‘s creative journey. I am very much looking forward to a new term and seeing all the new creations another term brings. See you all in a few weeks for more playful art making.

Also a big thank you to the Waipa Creative Community Scheme for helping to make this term of workshops possible.

Colour and shape are two of the seven elements of art that we investigate in our workshop, E is for Element. They are key to the making and understanding of art, and most definitely say things we couldn’t put into words.

We can’t wait to begin our workshops in a few weeks and put these concepts into practice. See you soon.

There a few places left in our Monday 5-8years, Creating Art History workshop... so be quick.
