Bunnies Childcare and Pre-School

We often visit Brian Mayo Reserve for regular excursions, so creating our own 'bush area' 🌿🌿🌿was an idea that was discussed earlier in the year.

When we saw that Restore Native Plant Nursery were promoting 'Trees for Schools' for kura to plant out areas, we asked if Bunnies Childcare and Pre-School could be involved too.

🪏🌱 This morning we were busy, with one of our whānau working alongside tamariki to create a bush area for us. A huge thanks to Adam and his team at Restore Native Plant Nursery for their generous donation of native trees. 🌱

We are looking forward to our bush area growing with our current and future tamariki, whānau & kaiako.

Today we were very lucky to have one of our talented whānau come in and do some awesome Gallagher Chiefs inspired facepainting on our little supporters!

This Sunday, a few of us are gathering for a car park garage sale!

If you have any bits and pieces you'd like to get rid of, and would like to join, let us know!

Throughout March, some of our kaiako are each walking 85km or cycling 300km to raise funds for Starship Foundation.

One of our pēpi, has recently undergone two surgeries at Starship Hospital - both he and his whānau have been supported through this process, and we want to show our support to Starship for the amazing mahi they do!

Taking a little trip down memory lane 💛

We’ve dusted off the archives and have been looking back at 𝘴𝑜𝘮𝑒 of the beautiful messages we’ve received from whānau after leaving us to head off to kura — although the wall definitely isn’t big enough to show them all!

We’ve heard lovely stories of friendships continuing to grow (and even matching tattoos!). We’d still love to hear from you if you or your child previously attended Bunnies — tell us where you are now and what you’ve been up to ✨
